Count down is started to welcoming 2010, now only 2 days to go for 2010. So its time to recall Round cap of Search Industry updates in 2009! So let’s get started with most buzzing news of 2009 for webmasters and SEOs.

Yahoo & Microsoft Partnership Deal Yahoo! and Microsoft announced partnership agreement that will improve the Web search experience for users and advertisers, and deliver sustained innovation to the industry. It was most awaited partnership deal in search industry this year.

Google Caffeine Update – Google Caffeine is new algorithm to index and ranking new web pages. It is a process that will let us push the envelope on size, indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions.  It will be going to live from 2010 and in some data center it already lived.

Real Time SearchIn this Year all major search engines includes Real Time Search to their Search Engine Result Pages. Bing started its real time search with the integration of Twitter & Face book in to search results, after Google & Yahoo also announced their updating on Real Time Search. Real Time Search will change the whole SEO world.

Comment Spamming We all know that Comments are really good source of information and an efficient way of engaging a site’s users in discussions. But some people are abusing comment with using keywords and website URL. For that Google announced that they will penalize who are abusing comments on innocent websites.

Google Personalize SearchGoogle Announced they are expanding personalize search for helping people to get better search results. The aim behind this is to provide most relevant result to the user as per their search query. Personalize search also enables customize search results for you based upon 180 days of search activity linked to an anonymous cookie in your browser. It’s completely separate from your Google Account and Web History (which are only available to signed-in users).

Announcement of Bing Microsoft roll out with announcement of New Search Engine called Bing. It’s specially designed for to give a new approach to user experience and intuitive tools to help customers make better decisions, focusing initially on four key vertical areas: making a purchase decision, planning a trip, researching a health condition or finding a local business.

Social SearchSocial Search is a combination of updates from your social network status updates in one place. It is in beta version in Google Labs called Google Social Search which helps to find more relevant public content from your broader social circle.

e.g. if you are searching for “New York”, Google social search will show updates, twits and photos of your friends who have had their last vacation in New York.
